We offer a growing variety of opportunities for businesses in our coverage area including twice-monthly networking meetings, public events, social media promotion, and partnering with other organizations for educational opportunities.
All activities are designed to address at least one part of our mission. Connect. Promote. Grow.
Networking & Donuts
On the fourth Thursday of the month, we gather at Daylight Donuts on Highway 74 for our monthly Networking & Donuts gathering. We do our commercials then there is usually a discussion topic related to business and growth.
Business After Hours
Our Business After Hours gathering is a bit more informal than our morning networking meetings. We gather from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. every second Monday of the month at Tequila Grill on Center Street. We do our introductions and then enjoy conversation to simply get to know each other. Sometimes, great ideas come from those discussions! Families are welcome.
Social Networking
We promote as many local businesses as possible from our Facebook page. We are working to encourage small business owners to be more active on social media so followers can keep in touch. We also have an associated Facebook group that is only for small business owners/managers in our coverage area.
Expo Events
We currently plan to host/co-host two expo-style events each year. The Elkins Holiday Expo will be on or near Small Business Saturday (Saturday after Thanksgiving) and we will host a yet-to-be-named expo in the spring.
Education Opportunities
We will be partnering with the Elkins Public Library and Startup Junkie Consulting to offer educational opportunities geared towards small businesses. We hope to offer other educational/business development opportunities as we grow.
